CRM Bitrix24 is available as a cloud version, which runs in the cloud on Bitrix servers, and as a boxed version (On-premise Edition), which you can install on your own server. Since both versions have a number of advantages - the choice of a particular solution depends on the goals of the company, which is going to use a CRM system.
If a company is already using the cloud version of Bitrix24 and has decided to switch to the box version, it is possible to carry out the migration procedure from the cloud to the box. To do this, you need to meet a number of requirements and follow a certain algorithm:
✓ Migration is possible only on an active commercial key, this is performed free of charge and only once.
✓ Confirmation of the consent to transfer data is given in an appeal to the Technical Support of Bitrix. After that, the support team prepares a backup from which you can restore a full-fledged corporate portal.
✓ Complete data migration is possible only on the "Bitrix24 in a box" edition, which has all the tools of Bitrix24.
✓ Each "Bitrix24 in a box" edition includes 25 users. If a company uses "Bitrix24" rates with an unlimited number of users, it will be necessary to buy the required number of users for the box version.
Before migrating your portal from the cloud version to the box version, it is recommended that you audit your portal to identify possible complications during the migration. A minimum audit plan includes:
✓ A server audit before the migration. You need to make sure that the server is configured correctly and that its performance is adequate for the project.
✓ Checking additional modules and components for compliance with Bitrix24 development rules.
✓ Check the integration with external systems and their performance.
✓ Analysis of all functions, applications, business processes that are used by employees in the portal, in order to ensure their normal migration to the box version.
Before Bitrix24 technical support provides a backup of the cloud version of the portal, you need to take care of the server on which Bitrix24 will be deployed. The server can be located either in the local corporate network or at a hosting provider. The hardware requirements are assessed individually, based on the company's goals and the number of active users of the service.
Minimum server requirements for deploying a small portal:
✓ SSD hard drive with a minimum capacity of 100 GB;
✓ A RAM of 8 GB, or better 16 GB, for fast operation;
✓ Intel Core i7 processor (minimum).
For normal operation of a corporate portal and the reduce of amount of preparatory work on the server setup is recommended to install the package "Bitrix: Web environment". You can also use the Bitrix Virtual Machine reference environment as server software.
After installing the corporate portal, you must perform a system check and test the server configuration (Settings - Tools - System Check). The system check includes tests for:
✓ General portal operation,
✓ Business functions of the portal,
✓ Integration with the Windows environment,
✓ Performance.
The report received in the course of this check contains the detected deficiencies in the server software configuration and recommendations for their correction
The bottom line is that a normal, predictable migration requires an audit of the portal, an analysis of all functions, applications and business processes that are used by employees in the portal. This will allow you to highlight critical functionality and pay special attention to configuring it.
