Working on large complex projects, implementations and applications - all for a global restructuring of the most important processes of the company - developers often miss little things, nice little things. Such as lack of resources, deadlines, focus on priority tasks. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
However, our life and work consist of little things - important and unnoticeable, pleasant and not so much. Some irritate us, others can occasionally bring joy.
Picture this: you are an employee of a company with a large turnover and a huge volume of transactions. Your responsibilities include monitoring of dozens of deals every day, analyzing their status, stages and data availability. Of course, you have different tools at your disposal: filters, reports, all kinds of analytics.
However, sometimes you interact with cards of the deals, monitor certain parameters, analyze and make atomic decisions on the go. For dozens of deals, right?
Have you pictured that? Obviously, the routine processes, such as manual search of cells and their contents is tiresome. And it certainly doesn't help your enthusiasm. You wish it was simple, easy-to-read and informative.
That is exactly the request that was recently born in the mind of one of our favorite clients.
Solving a seemingly simple task is not always easy and fast. But this time, we remembered how useful little things could be. We know where we are going, here comes the solution, - yes, it's standard, but it's one of the little things too.
Application-widget that we came up with completely solved the problem, and its prototype found a lot of appreciative feedback from potential users that were our Client’s employees.
So, opening a card of a deal, right in front of their eyes, employees see all the necessary information about the deal. The eye catches the image instantly, it is easy to understand - you can make a decision right away!
Each element is interactive, displays current state of the entities of the deal and contains hyperlinks. There are two buttons on the right: for quickly updating the data and for moving the deal to “failure”. Yes, the latter is sad, but it's just one of the little things too!
Yes, I repeat myself, but these are little things! 😊
